Military Cemetery
The learning center headstone is of Pte John Moxey who died here for Australia & Goulburn. The left is Elizabeth Whittaker (33 years) and on the right is Mary Brown (4 1/2 years) described as a dish (slang for being a perfect child).

The cemetery is larger than what is fenced off, as up to 18 other convicts could be buried here. These died or drowned in the Wollondilly river. Black Francis who had the flogging duties in the Stockade and in Goulburn may also be buried here as he was shot at Run O Water creek in Goulburn. Black Francis was a Madagascan convict who was sent here after the American War of Independence.
